Breeks Memorial School Ooty

Breeks Memorial Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School is a Christian Co-instructive School built in was named after James Wilkinson Breeks, the first District Collector of the Nilgiris. It was raised for the offspring of poor Europeans and Eurasians by open membership not long after his passing, as an issue to his administrations to the Nilgiris group. The establishment stone of Breeks Memorial School was laid in 1872, the school was finished in 1874.the school was begun in a legacy building, which is currently a piece of the Nilgiris District Court was in this foundation where Lord Macaulay authored the syllabi of the training framework for India under the British tenet, which still stays as the spine of Modern Indian Education System.
